The 2021 Noosa Biosphere ‘Wild Koala’ Gala is focussed on securing a future for Noosa’s wild koala populations and protecting this vulnerable and treasured national icon.
For a second year running, the Noosa Biosphere Annual Gala is showcasing the Noosa Collection water bottles – infinitely recyclable aluminium bottled water from Bluesky Beverages.
In honour of Noosa’s koala, a special limited edition ‘Wild Koala’ bottle has been created.
Each year over 450 million single use plastic water bottles are sold in Australia and of that 370 million end up in landfill or our precious waterways. Plastic Free Noosa is working with Noosa restaurants and cafes, and accommodation and retail businesses to eliminate single use plastic with many businesses now replacing single use plastic water bottles with the Noosa Collection aluminium bottles.
The Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation annual fundraising luncheon aims to raise awareness and support for biodiversity conservation and research in the UNESCO designated Noosa Biosphere Reserve.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme.
