Local operators shine community spirit as they help clean-up Noosa

A group of passionate local businesses have joined forces with Plastic Free Noosa, hosting regular community events to help clean up our shorelines and protect our precious ecosystem.

Who is Adventure Noosa?

The Adventure Noosa Group is made up of 60 passionate Tourism Noosa Members who are tour and accommodation providers, hospitality venues, breweries, adrenaline junkies and tourism promoters who are all about providing the most unforgettable holiday experiences right here in Noosa.

These business members all understand and care a lot about our environment and make extensive efforts to look after the presentation of our Noosa Biosphere Reserve. They are committed to protecting it and provide opportunities to educate their customers on how they too can make a difference when in region to keep it safe.

NOOSA RIVER CLEAN-UP

Adventure Noosa hosted their first community clean-up event on 19 August, where more than 45 local champions gathered to clean up the Noosa foreshore, collecting 16 bags of rubbish in just one hour!

SUNSHINE BEACH CLEAN-UP

A fantastic result from the Adventure Noosa operators, as they collected a whopping 75kg(approx) of rubbish from Sunshine Beach on 24 September for their second community clean-up. Thank you to the Sunshine Beach traders who took part, Noosa Council, Off The Hook Takeaway, the Sunshine Beach Surf Club and Sunshine Beach Real Estate.

PLASTIC FREE AMBASSADOR

On a mission to inspire others to take care of our beautiful biosphere region, 11-year-old Plastic Free Noosa Ambassador and Waste Warrior, Jarrah Small, is front and centre at our clean-up events.

Now more than ever, these small businesses need our support, particularly in the absence of international travellers, and we urge the community to get behind them wherever possible. Make sure you talk about Noosa's adventure operators to your visitors, family and friends who might be looking for fun activities in Noosa - or treat yourself to a surfing or kite-boarding lesson, hire a 4WD, jump on a jet-ski, ride the camels and horses on Noosa North Shore, visit Australia Zoo for the day...
