15-23 May 2021
A Celebration of the Joy of Surfing by the Noosa Malibu Club and World Surfaris - ‘Keeping the Stoke Alive’.
We love sustainable events, and the Noosa Festival of Surfing takes sustainability and responsibility to our planet very seriously! The Festival will comply with all relevant legislation and regulations within the permit approved through the Noosa Council and strive to achieve international best practice on environmental and sustainability matters.
SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE:
The Noosa Festival of Surfing is focused on the protection of the pristine and iconic Noosa World Surfing Reserve. The Festival recognises that its event, management activities and operations, both on the beach and in the water, have the potential to negatively impact our environment, which is why they are committed to continually improve their sustainable performance through annual benchmarking.
The Festival is working towards achieving Plastic Free Champion status again in 2021 and they will be encouraging nearby businesses to also take important steps to plastic free operations along the way.
Ready to go plastic free? Plastic Free Noosa helps to protect the environment by empowering the Noosa community in eliminating single-use plastics through direct engagement, recognition and facilitating circular economies.
