Sustainability is a key focus for Noosa events that are supported by Tourism Noosa, and we couldn't do it without our local environmental volunteers who help us with waste education, monitoring and management at local plastic free events and clean-up events.
Thanks to our Plastic Free Noosa Volunteer Program and the introduction of waste stations at events, our major Noosa events have successfully diverted large amounts of rubbish from landfill. Plus, the amount of recyclable and compostable waste has increased significantly!
From local clean-ups to supporting event organisers to achieve their sustainable goals, by joining the Waste Warrior crew and becoming a Plastic Free Noosa Volunteer, you will be part of the solution to plastic pollution in Noosa!
